Cheap inline H/P amp needed ....

Looking for a cheap inline headphone amp. I need it to boost the volume from sat nav to headphones in my motorcycle helmet. I wear ear plugs to quiten wind noise but they also quiten sound from headphones would prefere battery operated ones AA or AAA. The simpler the amp the better. It is only needed to boost sat nav voice, not for music. Thanks in advance Joe

Sounds like you need in-ear phones, rather than an amp. They will reduce outside noise while letting you hear the sat-nav.

Set up I have uses two flat 'speakers' velcroed into side of helmet, see below. I find in ear bud type too uncomfortable espically after a few hours.

If the ear plugs you use are foam and you're comfortable using them there are in ear foam ear tips you can use. That way you can use the foam ear tips to provide the isolation on an in ear phone to provide the sound.

If you want to go the amp route, a fiio e5 or e6 will boost the volume, the downside is both have internal batterys charged via usb. I've the e5 and it last probably 6-8 hours on a single charge.

Think they are a little on the expensive side, looking more for cheap and cheerful.
