Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Is there any way to add a fada or use Irish on the iPhone 4?

Yes, you just hold the letter and the option for the letter extensions come up.

You should be able to install the language on it.

I know a Gaeilgeoir told me before that macs can run everything via Irish quite easily, can't remember what app enabled it

or you can press the 'alt' key and teh letter you wanna put the fada on.
    áéíóú
holding alt and pressing a key also gives other symbols such as © , ® , √ .

Actually, if you're running Lion, you can still just hold down the letter key for the other options :)

i believe fadas eat up your texts. as they are outside the standard ascii range and coutn as more than 1 character

    It depends which you use.

A fada/accent going backwards (as in a backslash) counts as one letter, but some of the ones going forwards are special characters. Which reduces letters per text to 70.

Various other special vowels are also treated as standard, if you use them a lot, turn on character count
