I want to get a projector and screen for my bar, so I can show 'big screen' sports. Anyone have one in their place and can point me in the direction of what I should get? Any help appreciated.
    Thanks

Avoiding any negative comments relating to a first time poster seeking help on a specialist topic and a fairly rapid response from a first time poster who happens to specialise in that area....
We specialize in the pub, hotel, bar market and have been since 1995.
Given the nature of boards, a community forum for open discussion of topics, it might be more in keeping with the forum ethos if you provided some of the specialist knowledge to the community as a whole.

It's an area I have absolutely no knowledge in but I'd be interested to understand what sort of factors would be relevant, why a survey would be required, what are the 'Dos and don'ts' in this area and any other similar advice for someone in this type of situation.

By giving the advice freely you'll normally find it's far easier to establish yourself as an expert in your area and gain far more interest from other interested parties as a result.

Yeah don't see why a survey would be needed.

Used to work in a pub in Killarney and we just had the projector kind of tangling from the ceiling. I'd prefer to get a quote of how much a projector would be or if I should buy in Argos or somewhere and have someone install for me after? Just taking over the bar so don't have massive amounts to spend.

Whatever one you choose, ensure that lamp replacement costs are reasonable. Often cheap projectors are cheap because lamps have poor lifespan with high replacement costs.
