Yes, and he'll either be a direct replacement for Gronk on special teams plays, or he'll fill in the usual position for whoever else takes Gronks place on ST. He'll make very little, if any contribution to the defensive line I would imagine.

In fairness I can see where you're coming from. You're the guy we all knew in school who was down near the bottom of the ladder and who needed to make a statement, in any way you can, to help them move a few rungs up the ladder. Its not gonna work, so jog on and enjoy yourself in the rugby league forum among the tumble weed..

My take on the game tonight:

Giants win.


Think the Giants sneak it, 27-17, with a touchdown late in the fourth quarter snatching it.

It will be a great game I'm sure and it was very hard to see past Brady and Belichick on a revenge mission but the Giants seem the team destined to win.

It's not very often that the same team get one over Brady and Belichick especially considering the big-game circumstances but the Giants are the Patriots bogey team and revel in being the underdogs and it seems fitting for Eli to win his second ring beating Peyton's biggest rival in the house that Peyton built.

I think the Giants' rush defense will do enough to harry Brady while Eli and his receivers will be able to exploit the Patriots' awful secondary.

Belichick will have a few tricks up his sleeve no doubt, but I think the Giants and Coughlin will have enough in the tank to see off them off.

Strangely enough, I'll be rooting for the Giants tonight even though I'm a Cowboys fan and they're a divisional rival. Would just like to see the Giants win a second instead of the Patriots winning a fourth.

Giants are not a Bogey team. Since 2000 it's 2-2. 5-5 since 1970.

This isn't 07/08 they're not massive underdogs. Actually most of the talk is about how they can beat the pats.

Watchin NBC pregame coverage.

Man I really feel for Rodney Harrison.

They brought David Tyree on and went through the "Catch", in tiny detail.

Harrison is almost in tears looking at it, and says "I still blame myself for not making that play to win the Superbowl for my team".

He said for 6 months after that, he considered his career, and that combined with injury lead to him leaving the game!

It shows how much that loss hurt the Patriots.

Never said the Giants were massive underdogs, but they are slight underdogs as shown by the poll and by how bookies' see it.

You're correct about the Giants and Pats' head-to-head record but the general consensus is that the one team the Pats didn't want is the Giants. I'm sure the Pats would have rather have faced the 49ers who they would out score rather than the Giants who have an offense to match the Patriots and a defense which can get at Brady.

Under the total is usually a good bet for the Super Bowl, lots of people betting the over inflates the line.
