    Noticed that Ennis, Sligo and Derry made bids to host this festival. Its a great festival that brings in huge numbers of people and money into a town so why have we never seemed to bother with it? As far as I can tell it is one of the biggest festivals to be held in Ireland each year.

    Lismore held it two years!
    It is a brilliant festival. Waterford would be a fantastic spot for it.

    Lismore held the Waterford County Fleadh,

    Dungarvan is holding the Munster Fleadh this summer ..... & if that goes well, they'll probably make a bid for the Fleadh Ceoil na hEireann ...


    not sure how active CCE is in Waterford City ....
