    Hello thread.

    Enjoyed..........Mourinho discussions.

Disliked- three pages of children fighting over grammar interpretations.

Oh Mourinho to Tottenham me thinks this summer when 'Arry Leaves. London calling. United is in Manchester. It's a hole, they are in debt up to their eyeballs and over performing with a rubbish squad.

He has a chance to build a legacy at Tottenham where he won't be in Ferguson's shadow with the old man upstairs tinkering like Sir Matt Busby ruling from behind the curtain.

You have a problem with solidarity against hateful language and attitudes?

The idea that only the discriminated against should fight discrimination is idiotic. What is the justification of these demands that you make?

No. What I have a problem with is people taking offence on the part of others. I have no record of using the term "discrimination", so where you got that bemuses me, much in the way that you have taken something construed from a video clip as being "hateful language and attitudes"
Jesus Christ. This is a matter of what is wrong and right. If everyone just left the victims of bigotry and prejudice to defend themselves, the world would be a much more nasty place.

As for the lad who referred to this as a grammar issue, I really don't think the boards website allows me to post enough rolley-eyed faces to do your post justice.

Using homosexuality as an insult directly implies the belief that homosexuality is a bad thing. It betrays a negative discrimination against homosexuality on the part of the speaker. That's where I got ''discrimination'' from.

As for where I got ''hateful language and attitudes'' from, it's simple. I think that the attitude of thinking that there is something inherently bad about being gay is extremely not nice, or you could say ''hateful''.

With regards to being offended on behalf of others, no that is not the case. Yes it is true that I am not gay (although the fact that you assume that I find funny), but you do not need to be the one being abused to dislike the abuse. I am not personaly offended by homophobic language, but why on earth should I not speak out against it? Explain to me why somebody who dislikes homophobia should not speak out against homophobic language.

Cop onto yourself, a lot people find the usage of that word very offensive and have every right to complain. End of story. Should this "piss people off" then it would do nothing but highlight a very worrying trend of ignorance.

As someone who is a member of the LGBT community, I see nothing wrong with a guy muttering something under his breath, stuff like this is just getting out of hand, trying to punish someone for saying muttering something under their breath... All it's going to do is harm the movement considering there is actual important issues to be dealt with, not what some football manager mutters under his breath. Bit of perspective is needed. If José specifically picked out a gay official and said it directly to him then fair enough we'd have an issue to deal with but this, this is a nothing story as far as I'm concerned.

Am I supposed to be offended by this? Because I'm not.

Also no need for the hostility from some of you, myself and a few others are just expressing our opinions, doesn't mean I have the same ideals as Hitler.

He didn't mutter it under his breath, he said it in conversation in a public place when there were cameras around and it was picked up. Even if he had muttered it under his breath it would still betray what he thinks.

It doesn't matter that you are not personally offended by it, homophobia is still a bad thing. Maybe you don't want the hassle of confronting homophobia, fair enough, but giving out about the LGBT groups confronting it is just daft. Homophobia is not going to go away if homophobic language from public figures is ignored.

Just signed a new 4 year contract with Real.

Duncan Castles shows himself up to be an utter tool yet again.

Mourinho to Spurs stuff seems rather fanciful now, doesn't it?

Fergie to manage Utd for another 4 years? :pac:

TBH, I cant see Jose walking out on Real for awhile, hes only just wrestled the title from Barca and you can count he wants to win a UCL with Real to and I wouldnt put it past them to do the job next year.
