    Just to remind everyone that the public consultation period ends tomorrow at 4.30pm for the Public Realm and Advertising consultation. Do have your say folks!!

    Dublin City Council are looking for your opinions on:

    Your City, Your Space; Draft Dublin City Public Realm Strategy
    Which has been prepared by Dublin City Council to detail the importance, character and current issues affecting Dublin’s public realm, and develop an agreed vision and policy on the design, standards of maintenance and appropriate uses of the public realm.

    and the Outdoor Advertising Strategy
    (Appendix 27 of the Dublin City Development Plan 2011-2017)

    And for anybody that doesnt want to submit online, there is displays in all the major Area Offices and Libraries where you can make a hard copy submission.

    Your City Your Space; Dublin City Public Realm Strategy has now been finalised and was adopted by the City Council at its meeting on Monday 3rd September 2012. The final document is now available at http://www.dublincity.ie/Planning/Documents/YDYVPublicRealmFinal.pdf



    I would like to thank you for your advice or inputs at development stage. All of your submissions were evaluated and integrated into the document where appropriate. Where specific projects or interventions at specific locations were suggested these have been notified to relevant Departments within the Council or retained as possible projects for the Public Realm Team in the future. Observations or comments regarding current offering or practice in the public realm which were not strategic in nature have also been noted and passed on to the relevant departments.



    Work has commenced on the two year work plan and a number of the projects are being progressed. I look forward to working with you to deliver changes and improvements in our city and how we experience it.
