doctors report

Hi I.m not looking for leagal advice or anything just want to know if its normal or why my solicitor has asked me to pay for the doctors reports i just thought they pay all that and get the money back does this mean he has douts with winning the case or am i just been parranoid has anyone else paid for there own reports.…
