Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

A lot of solicitors have cash flow problems at the moment. They can't afford to pay out money and wait months or even years to get it back.

Just multiply the cost per case 255 per report and 45 application fee, by the total number of cases, it would add up to thousands, most solicitors can't afford to carry those outlays.

It amazes me that your solicitor is willing to take on your case, do a lot of work, and it's his problem that your doctor won't do the same. I think you should change your question to ask why won't your doctor do what your solicitor is doing.

Doctors want to be paid for their reports on completion unless they have a particular arrangement with the instructing solr to hold off until case concluded.

Like others have said solicitors don't want to be carrying the can for such outlay and that is why they will ask for such outlay upfront. That's not unreasonable. At the end of the day it's not their case and they are certainly not responsible for costs in running it.

Secondly asking the client to pay the outlay focuses the client on their own case and acts as a motivator to see the case through and be attentive throughout the running of it.

OP if you cant afford it tell your solr that and offer to pay whatever amount you can afford each week. Set up a DD to the solrs client account.
