I am a night shift worker wirth access to pc and laptop. During the quiet times (ahem) I would like to play some sort of a sim game. Idealy one that I can pick up from where I left off at anytime. I quite fancy some of those Civilisation type gamesa are there any that I can play online without having to outlay the cash, or…

theres a civ clone thats free to play called freeciv(strangely enough:D), it has good reviews but never played it myself.

If you like RTSs you could get the early Command and Conquer games. Tiberian Dawn, Tiberian Sun and Red Alert are all free and legal to download.
