    12 acres bounding me up for sale. ive been leasin it for 10 years. all under grass (sum rushes too) .dry for 6 -7 months on a good year. how much do forestry pay as they boundin as well.

    if it is as you describe predominantly grass/rush then it may have a slight chance of selling for afforestation....the major problem is the size, most investors wont look at anything less than 20 acres...other problem could be flooding-forest service can be extremely fussy about granting approval of land with even a hint of flooding

    if its all in one block, has good access to a public road, and is capable of producing a high Yield Class crop of trees then you might be able to get somewhere in the region of €2700-3000/acre.....thats IF the hurdles i mentioned above are cleared

    That's quite a lot. I'd have thought that €2500 an acre would be more like the price. It all really depends if anyone else is interested and how much money they have to spend.

    Set yourself a limit that you can realistically afford to repay. Don't go above it. There's descent land available for €4000 an acre - albeit not bounding you.

    I wish there was down here Reilig. Anywhere from €9k-€12k and acre around here usually atm.
