    Heading there for the weekend.

Anything worth seeing? Either in the line of historical places - have heard of Reginald's Tower - or scenery. Any nice tracks or trails near city for an hour or two of off road running?

    Thanks.

For a nice run, do Tramore beach, then up to the Donneraile (locals will point you in the right direction) and over onto coast road, if it's a nice clear morning the views are just beautiful..

There is an excellent walking trail from Dunmore East to Portally, along the cliffs.

Have a look at http://www.docbrown.info/docspics/irishscenes/ispage25b.htm to see what to expect.

    Thanks for the pointers.

Have hiked around the Comeraghs, so have seen Coomsingaun, top of Mahon Falls etc. Lovely around there alright.

As it turns out, the hotel is so nice we hardly left it!

Waterford Castle. Lovely spot. Amazing building, great food, one of the best meals I've ever had. And did my 2 hours running doing laps around the grounds and adjacent golf course. Got a great deal here.

Did head for a spin out to Inistioge. And did have to phone the Gardai when we saw a drunk woman who kept trying to fall in front of traffic on College Street? Road? By the way, the wife got the number for the Gardai on her iPad...and the one that appears in various places is a wrong number!

Will probably take in Dunmore East on way home, it seems near.
