They're Óige Phoblachtach Sinn Féin now (Translation: SF Republican Youth)

Banner says "€1.25bil- Invest in People and Communities, not toxic banks".

There more on the protest with leaflets and placards, these were the ones on the roof.

fair play to them whoever they are.

I wonder was that excuse for a human (crow) having a panic attack inside.

Was he the man signing off on the cheque to the bondholders?

I think the bondholders thing was a lovely distraction. Let them protest, let them have their day out, let them ignore that bondholder payments are being outstripped by general deficit payments this year by about 6 to 1. Nothing to see here folks, enjoy your sideshow.

If we continue this semi-autistic obsession with the bondholders, we'll have learnt approximately nothing from having to be bailed out.

As an aside, is it a conditional part of the funding for the Young (Various Flavours) Sinn Fein organisations that they perform at least one completely misdirected protest per semester? If they wanted to make the final breakthrough into the Irish middle classes, they would have been better served blockading the grave Aengus Fanning was to be buried in.

But at least their herping because they believe in derp? Sweet jehovah, all they've done here is scaled a wall outside just about the furthest nexus from the wrong they're protesting.

But they're herping awareness? Raising awareness is the single biggest output from disgruntled White People. I'm sure those paying their motor tax yesterday are now going to embark on lengthy careers of revolutionary socialism.

Payments to bondholders this year are around €20b, (January alone was €3b, there was a secured bond earlier this month of €1b) they're hoping our general deficit will be around what €11b? Do your maths correctly.

Continue in Occupy thread please. No point in having general economics discussion in two threads in Galway forum.
