Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Just saw these on Donedeal. I was looking for something like this for a while. Has anyone used anything similar or heard of any problems with them?

the only problem is they aren't really a gate at all?:(:p I cant see them keeping much in or out tbh. If it was a proper gate the idea would be excellent though.

It's an electric fence gate, not a 'physical barrier' gate.

I like the idea but personally think I would use in conjuction with a 2nd barrier like a gate. perhaps when the cattle are trained to it no such nessity.

be handy not having jump out and race to open/close the gate ahead of cattle when you go in/out of a field with a silage bale for example

Thats what i was thinking of. I would have a bit of difficulty getting in and out of a tractor for a few days every so often so checking dry stock can be difficult with opening gates on the farm roads. I was just wondering how effective they are in carrying current and if they could stand up to a bit of hardship

There is a guy in NI makes drive through gates for quads. They are a proper gate and become a ramp as you go through them. Very clever piece of engineering.

the gates are these imported http://www.ecklundgates.com/
for calves they recommend strips of tin foil.
