Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Hey guys,

My nephew's Slim PS3 stopped playing games and BluRays.. Plays DVD's okay so I'm guessing it's the Blu ray laser I've heard so much about

Is it worth getting done, or should I do it myself... I am technically minded, but I don't want to brick it and be left with the bill :p

Also, how much is it for the laser, or to get it done

    And where?

    Cheers

Definitely do it yourself. It's a very easy job, as for sourcing one, just be wary of fakes. I've gotten one or two from Hong Kong that were DOA. Stick to reputable sellers

Can someone PM me a reputable dealer for a laser? What would you expect to pay?

Why PM? They can post it here... I wouldn't mind a link either :)

Oh just in case it was against the charter to post links. By all means I'd like to deal with someone another member here has already dealt with successfully.
