Oh don't say that go next week anyway!!!
I understand how frustrating the swings in the star ratings are, but perhaps over time the swings will be less pronounced. The genomics will also add some improvement in accuracy.

Just say both rams were averaging 25% accuracy.
That means there is 75% unknown about the rams.

As grassroots said give the stars a chance but don't go all in buying a ram on stars alone.

Anyone any update from the sale on Saturday?

    What was the prices like?

lot no 89 400 euro, lot 90 620 euro, lot 91 540 euro all charollais. Good rams met with a reasonable trade but some good rams were sold at low enough prices. I think if a commercial man wanted a ram its not a bad sale to attend.
Suffolk rams seem to be in demand this year and this sale was no different with rams from 400 to 880 The minority breed met with mixed trade. Vendeen probally were the best here. I was gone home before the belclares and the texels

Anybody know whether Sheep Ireland are getting data from the factories yet and inputting the data into the evaluations?

ie: Lambs on Lambplus that go to the factory.

    They haven't scanned here yet.

They're probably doing the Suffolks first as their 'Elite' sale is on the 2nd July.
    Very early IMO.

I also remember not getting tag numbers on the sheet from last year from the factory but a few years previously I got the tag numbers so they must of stopped doing that.

It seems madness not to be using slaughter data especially when some sheep are eid tagged.
