Playlist - Help Needed

Hey guys, we're throwing a surprise 70th for my dad in a couple of weeks and we are trying to put together a play list. Does anyone have any ideas of songs / albums I should be downloading?

He loves Luke Kelly & The Dubliners but also some of the show bands and he's always crooning some tune or another. I've got so far, "the best of..." albums for Luke Kelly, Dubliners and The Pogues... Looking for more suggestions.

Andy Irvine is one of the all time greats of irish folk, as a musician he is among the best (in my view). he was on the original planxty line up and has been part of some great bands over the decades. A little bit different to the dubliners ( he has a great song called o'donoghues about the pub in dublin where he and the dubliners started off - first link below) he has done alot of old ballads mainly from the northern tradition plus lots european folk stuff with the likes of donal lunny plus many great originals. You should get the tommy maken and the clancy brother sollection. Some brilliant ballads on that. Would have been in their peak at the right time too.
