Would you be able to find the resolution of that TV? Depending on if it's around 1080p or 1333x768 could mean a good saving. And as well, what peripherals do you need? I have just keyboard and mouse thrown in there, I'd say the TV has speakers, but then again if he uses iTunes a lot and is into music he'd need better, I'd put in these. It'd put you 15 euro over budget.

Grand, you might need some more gpu power then to be on the safe side. I can't give links at the moment but you'd replace the i3 with a celeron g530 and add in an AMD HD6670, should easily max football manager and a few older games, I'd imagine minecraft would be perfect.

Edit: You might want to change the case to a xigmatek Asgard, it's full tax and great value.

No, not really. For overclocking, you need a P67 or Z68 motherboard -not a H61 or H67. These are more expensive. You also need an unlocked processor (ones that end in "K"). These are only available in quad cores.

You could get an AMD system which might have a slight edge in general applications if you overclocked but the Intel system has the advantage of a more optimistic future with regard to far better upgrades to powerful quad cores.
