    Lads,

My PC died, heat sink bracket sheared and my AMD Dual core reddened itself to death :(

This old ass, freezing, no game playing pile of ancient Dell is driving me half cracked.

It's been a while since I've built and I'm not up to date with what's current and where to buy. I would prefer to buy from one supplier and do it with Visa/Paypal. I was looking at bundles from OCuk (i5 2500k level) but maybe ye know where to get a similar heart and lung transplant bundle for cheaper.

Just looking for advice, cheers lads!

    1. What is your budget? [€300-€500]

    2. What will be the main purpose of the computer? Home videos (kids/Christmas, not what you were thinking!), photo editing, games, driving Sean Sherlock mad with e-mails...

    3. Do you need a copy of Windows? [No]

    4. Can you use any parts from an old computer? Yes, 750 watt power supply, graphics card will do for now, DVD Burners, Hard drive will do until SSD gets cheaper.

    5. Do you need a monitor? [No]

5a. If yes, what size do you need.

5b. If no, what resolution is your current monitor and do you plan to upgrade in the near future?
Its an old dell one I got for nothing ;)

    6. Do you need any of these peripherals?Keyboard/Mouse/Wireless Card/Card Reader/Speakers/ Nope, sorted for all that stuff.

    7. Are you willing to try overclocking? Yes if not too complicated, may buy a larger cooler later on.

    8. How can you pay? Credit Card/ Paypal preferably. HWVS look cheap but I can't be doing with going in to banks (blood boiling), so prefer to do this online.

    9. When are you purchasing? Next couple of weekends hopefully

    10. If you need help building it, where are you based? Co. Waterford, should be able to manage though.
