I was going through my photos yesterday and I came across some lovely Christmas ones. This one is in my Mum's back yard. It was taken in 2010 when we had snow - I think it was the first time it actually blended in with the surroundings

Stayed up late last night and was watching some 80s sitcom and lo and behold it was a Christmas episode!! Lovely to see the tree and decorations at this time of year!

Wathing baby t.v with my new born twins and there was a christmas cartoon about how to decrate a christmas trees:D, got me thinking what to get them for there frst x-mass from santa,they are lucky babies there mammy is from poland so they will get presents from st nickolas on dec 6 and santa on x-mass day

Last night on That 70s show, it was a Christmas episode and last week on New Girl, it was also a Christmas episode!
A few days ago we had a bad hail shower and it left everything white and Christmassy looking!
I've also dug out the winter woolies lately as it's been so cold 0 -

Was out shopping in Dunnes this mornning: you know on the trolley at the front where you push there's sometimes a little plaque thing used for advertising? Well, today on my trolley was an ad for Cracker Barrel cheese with the tag line 'pleasure squared this Christmas' with a nice bit of holly too. I took a pic and will try and include

Found a Christmas magazine while tidying the house and read it in bed last night - what an indulgence!!
Last week I was in the post office and while waiting in the queue there was a couple of Christmas cards on the stand and I smiled to myself!
We are nearly half way through the year now - getting closer and closer!!0 -

Ya same here. I'm enjoying the summer and the things that come with that - festivals, barbecues, and just simple things like the house being warmer!!
But still looking forward to Christmas and all the cosiness that brings!!
I'll be moving house in the next few months and will be looking forward to planning the decorating for Christmas!! I'm going to go all out this year and decorate every room. Last year I got a tree for my bedroom and never got around to putting it up, so will make more of an effort this time. Oh it's exciting planning on what to do
And thanks to all in this forum for keeping this thread going - I get such a buzz reading other people's stories and sightings!! And the pictures and videos are great.
I loved that Winter song last year too. One song I really liked and only really took notice of last year was this one:

I'm feeling all festive and wintery with all this crappy weather lately- in 9 days it'll be nearer Christmas 2012 than it was to Christmas 2011!!

It's part of the garden centre in Coldwinters off the M2. In fairness it was in darkness mostly as it's out of season but no-one stopped me from traipsing round for half an hour - yes half an hour! Wall to wall trees, garlands and nicky nacks. Almost wished it was snowing when I came out. 0

it's getting really close now. We've passed the halfway mark already!
I got a different air freshener for the bathroom. It was the same one I had used at Christmas so whenever I use it now, it reminds me of Christmas.
I had my ipod on shuffle and lo and behold Fairytale of New York comes on! I would just like to add that there's over 3,000 songs on my ipod, so the chance that a Christmas song comes on is pretty slim.

Glad I came across this forum, I don't meet many people as fanatical about Christmas as myself. So excited that it's less then six months! I recently put together a Christmas movie playlist on a website I use for watching movies, all ready for as soon as December hits! I try my best to not watch Christmas movies and listen to Christmas music all year because I'm terrified it will take away from the specialness of December lol!
I have coloured Christmas lights still up in my bedroom, not going to take them down and I'll turn them on December 1st Watched some Christmas ads on Youtube recently and it got me feeling all warm anf fuzzy he he!
Anyway, glad I have this forum for my pre Christmas fix! 0 -

Once August hits, I get in a full blown Christmas frenzy of excitement- then it's officially Autumn, and it's just a month away, eeeeeeeeek!!!!!

Oh that's a great idea! I really want to see as much Christmas films as I can this year, so I might buy some. If I get around one a week/fortnight it won't break the bank and I'll have a good store of films to watch in the weeks before Christmas.
I really want to look at some of the really old films, where they had very traditional christmasses. Must put together a list.

I remember being in London in August a couple of years ago and wandered into the Harrods Christmas shop- to say I got very very excited is an understatement! :eek:
Oh you just wandered in did you?!:P Yup was there last year - completely overwhelming! I bought a Christmas bear and a few decorations I think! Couldn't resist:o0 -
