Big dog Socialising

    Hi all big dog owners,
I have a crossed Neopolitan/English Mastiff dog who is desperately looking for another big dog to bound/walk around a park in Dublin (or maybe just outside!)
He's a great dog in familiar surroundings but can be weary of new dogs, especially large breeds, due to lack of socialising on our part.
If anybody has a large breed dog/bitch and would like to meet up for some dog therapy please give me a shout!
    Aaron

Are you near Celbridge? We all meet about 9 in the mornings when we drop kids to school and there could be up to 8 dogs bounding around :)Its great fun. There are 4 boxers,1 boxer cross,2 labs,1 retriever, and then the odd others who are passing by and join in:)They all get on great :)

Hey Celbridge is possible, the only hitch would be that it sounds like you meet up on weekdays/workdays!
Do you ever meet up at weekends?

I don't live in Dublin but the odd time when visiting my boyfriend's folks I'd take one or two of mine to the dog park in Marlay Park after a walk around in the park. I'm sure if you wanted you could get a few people to meet up with you there some weekend.

Hey Paddy2uk, there is group of dogs and owners that meet up in Albert College Park near DCU almost every evening from about 6 onwards. They meet later in the spring/summer because the evenings are longer. Great bunch of dogs there to play with. I have a 1 year old female German Shepherd who loves to play!!!

The group of dog owners who frequent the memorial gardens seem very laid back when it comes to dog size (and in our pups cases exuberance) - they've always been very friendly to us and any one we've pointed towards them for puppy socialisation purposes. They used meet most evenings and weekend mornings around 10:30-11:30 last year, unsure if that's still the case or not ;)
