Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Using an allen key open the grub screw in the end of the brass hexegon shaped tube, use the reset button to run the burner and you'll see air coming from the tube, once clear and you have oil then close and tighten.

Excuse my stupidity but should the timer switch in the house be on when bleeding burner? I've been trying to bleed the burner but it's not happening for me!

Yes (depending on how your system is wired), the timer will normally have to switched to the 'on' position to have constant power to the boiler/burner.

What make of burner? You could check to see if photocell is dirty. Not a lot more you can do if it's bled properly. Btw how much oil did you get?

It s a Grant 50 70. We got half a tank around 500 litres I think. Where is the photocell?

That is the make of the boiler. What burner is fitted to it, the part that the pump and reset button is on.
Anyway even if that is the problem, something caused it to happen and it needs checking.

Good. Don't let it run out too often or lift back of tank. It shortens the life of the expensive pump.
