I hate waiting on it, largely because I couldn't care less about anyones skype status. Mostly I'd say other people don't either. My suggestion: Remove it. :) /waits on hordes of people who use this feature for stalking to abuse me

Personally, I agree with you. Similarly for ICQ status, MSN status and pretty much any other IM status checking..

Professionally though, I'm going to await the abuse :P

Not sure it's a feedback issue but if you want to sling this over there for more community based input then fire ahead. I'm guessing it's handy enough to remove? What about commenting it out for a few days and see if anyone shouts?
