    This game is more important then City. Need to bounce back before tough pool game.

    United, City, Liverpool and Chelsea all in action too...
    Must win game. Hopefully the away teams drop a few points.

    This game isn't just about winning - Wigan should be on the end of a severe thumping tonight if the City result hurt the players as much as us. Having said that, I'd happily take a nasty 1 - 0 now!

    We need to win this, and win it well. Not a scrappy 1-0 win, but a solid 3-0 thumping. We are a far better team than they are, and they are playing some awful football. Anything less than a thumping and we run the risk of really losing the plot.

    Huh, it's tonight? Sweet, something to watch later.

    They actually play nice football a lot of the time imo.

    a win tonight will set us up well for anfield next monday

    the pool will be out for revenge after the mauling they got at the lane. and they can beat anyone on their day so we need a good lively performance to bring back the winning feeling!

    True, they occasionally play some nice football, but it never comes to anything. We should be more that strong enough to stop them doing anything, and we really need to score a few.

    Is the game on tv/streaming? Can't seem to see it anywhere.

    I was there last year when we lost 1-0 we need to really come out of the traps fast and score early.

    What does it say about our season that one week we are confident of beating the league leaders so we can challenge for the title ourselves and the next week we are hoping we can scrap by the team lying bottom of the league!

    We need to stuff these guy 4-0 and absolutely play them off the pitch! COYS!

    Lennon and Defoe are 50/50 and Bale is a slight doubt.

    Maybe time to give Pienaar a start on the right, or else stick Livermore in the middle and move Luka out wide.

    Wigan are a poor team but very unpredictable, never know when they'll come out with a good performance. Moses is dangerous.

    if bale and lennon are both out then we will struggle for pace big time

    I reckon Bale will pull through.

    We have to stop putting Luka out wide would prefer to play 442 and put Rafa right and Dos Santos left.

    Friedel;
    Assou-Ekotto; King; Kaboul; Walker;
    Bale; Modric; Kranjcar; Parker;
    Van der Vaart;

    I'm guessing the line up is in reverseand walker and Parker in each other places.

    Subs
    Cudicini; Rose; Dawson; Livermore; Sandro; Pienaar; Lancaster

    No Pav and Lancaster on the bench be cool if he came on!!

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,994 ✭✭✭KingdomYid

    No Pav, Defoe or Rodallega in teams/squads.....

    Defoe is injured and has a been a doubt since weekend. Pav not being there does make it look like he is out the door.

    VDV off already, Livermore on. I guess that means Bale or Modric in his position, but most likely Modric.
