Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

What's the story with taxing a tractor that has been off the road a few years? Would it be the same as cars now that you would have to back tax it?

AFAIK if it's been off the road just talk to local guards, get form signed and away you go.

That was under the old rules they changed it in the budget now you can't declare a car off the road for any period.

When did these new rules come onto play? I got the form signed at the start of this month. I asked the guard about it too and he said there is no word of change!

    Two points:

    1) It's the government's intention to change the system of declaring a vehicle off the road so that it must be done in advance. To my knowledge this is still a matter of Dáil discussion and not enacted legislation yet.

    2) Even if it were the case the OP should still be able to get his vehicle declared off the road up until the change in legislation came in. They can't apply legislative changes retroactively.
