Graduate program early exit

Hi, long time user but going unreg for obvious reasons :)

If someone signs a two year contract for a grad program that includes 8 months of training followed by funded study for professional exams, what consequences could there be if I quit this program early? Im really starting to hate the career path and location, but Im worried about what could happen if I quit while Im still doing training? I understand the company will be p*d off, having invested money in me without much/any return, but can they actually do anything to me for breaching the contract like this? Im not concerned about burning bridges, I have no intention of staying in this field, and its quite specialised :)
    Appreciate any advice!

Depends on your contract; I know my company has a clause regarding repaying training costs in them for people going through certain programs for example.
