I'm looking for some informations regarding the legal and technical aspects installing a gas fueled fuel cell device in a private home.

In this thread there wasn't anything useful suplied

    http://www.boards.ie/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=2056534136

    but maybe here.

    In short :

A gas fueled fuel cell should be installed, producing 1 kW of electric energy and max. 2 kW of thermal energy.
The thermal energy will be used for space heating, integrated into an existing thermal distribution.
The electricity will be grid fed, preferable - in case of demand - used for the home suply.

    Questions:

Who is capeable to maintain gas fueled fuel cells in Ireland and will do so in case of break down and anual maintenance ?

What legal challenges are there, safety regulations ( gas and electricity regulations), taxing of fuel/income ?

Is there an organisation to turn to ?

    Thanks!
