    Hey everyone,
I'm planning a hen weekend in Kilkenny in the summer, and am planning a picnic event for the Saturday day with picnic/sports day games and stuff - but want to have a back-up location planned just in case the weather turns out crap! Does anyone have any suggestions for places in the center of town where we could rent or take a room for the afternoon for about 25 people where we could have space to ourselves for some picnic-y food, drinks, silly games etc? I would like to keep the cost as low as possible, especially considering it will just be a backup plan, but any suggestions or recommendations would be much appreciated :)
    Thanks!

    Jenkinstown Park

Consider this ,its free it has seating all around the inside(well it used too not sure if it still has) lots of grassy terraces for the picnic if you get the weather

You could try The Nixon.. it's a newly opened pub with an upstairs area that you could reserve. It's also a late bar and they do good hen deals... not sure if their website is up yet but you can get them on Facebook - TheNixon onWatergate
