EIRCOM Netopia Router - Disconnects when being used by 2 laptops

Can someone help me. I have 17mb BB off eircom, and I have the Netopia router. When myself and my dad are both using our laptops the router keeps disconnecting every couple of minutes. It's very annoying how do I fix this? Is it a setting on the router that can be changed? It's as if two laptops are too much in the…

I have 17mb BB off eircom, and I have the Netopia router.

When myself and my dad are both using our laptops the router keeps disconnecting every couple of minutes. It's very annoying how do I fix this? Is it a setting on the router that can be changed? It's as if two laptops are too much in the connection and one is trying to take it all and so it disconnects.

Very annoyed, we should be able to have 10 laptops in our house connected to a 17mb connection if we wish!
