    Welcome to my world, the micro climate in this part of the Vartry Valley is notorious - it's why Mount Usher Gardens are world famous with their collection of exotic plants and beautiful Eucalyptus trees :D

    Snow here earlier, my location is 120m asl and 15 kms southeast of Vancouver BC city centre. About 2 cms on grassy surfaces, slush on roads, back to sleet and rain now, and only 2 deg C. This is the third snowfall we've seen this winter season for a grand total of 7 cms now. That is below the seasonal normal for here.

    Have only been to Vancouver in the summer months but 7cm seems very low - what sort of snowfall has there been on Cypress mountain north of the city.

    Beats this location (also around 120m asl) by 3-1 for this winter :(

    (Our "grand" total would be in the region of 1cm!)
