Looking for PS2 game

Possibly PS1, I have no idea.

The game was about robots, with rotating balls instead of feet. It was like a team game with different challenges/events. Great fun.

Nope, the cover was a single blue & white robot, quite evil looking. (If my memory serves me correctly!!)

There is an event/game that involves collecting balls and bringing them to your base.

I know it's red, not blue, on the cover, but there is a blue version of it and the rest of the description of the game seems to fit
