Stolen Heating Oil from School

    Would you believe my son's school had to close today as the heating oil had been stolen overnight!! Christ of all places....so annoyed that anyone would do that to a school!!

    Has happened around here too, as if schools weren't strapped enough for cash. Where in Cork are you from?

    You're in Carlow aren't you? We've spoken before I think. I'm from Bishopstown originally but ended up in Ballincollig when I bought my house and then relocated to South Kildare not far from Carlow.

    Rumour has it oil lorries been watched and these are the target, an issue all over the country, heard a few weeks go cars parked at city hotel in waterford has fuel taken from tank

    Christ almighty everyone is having it so hard especially with the cost of it, its so depressing. Shower of bas..... And its only a small school with four teachers and the parents have to pay for laptops and anything extra, like many many schools I'm sure. God knows if the BOM have the money to stump up for more fuel and a new bloody tank (which they drilled a hole in!):mad:

    Yes, Carlow area, from North Cork originally.
