Seriously pathetic tackling. Made it easy for him.
Was very strong hand-offs mind you

fantastic scrum by France and Malzieu did some dancing to get in.
Apart from those two moments, Italy have had parity

That was a horrendous kick from Burton, what a waste.

Was the second conversion missed? BBC commentary is rubbish...

Do France have 15 or 17 points?

He's had a really mixed game mixing some good kicks with some stupid play like that.

Italy have big questions to answer. Very poor. Handing the game to France.

Look at that malzieu try again... Embarrassing defense, he would've had a harder time scoring against the Wicklow u17s

Maybe stupid question but why France playing in white when they are at home??

15-9 now, Italy right in this one. Pack are beginning to dominate. Thought it was a blatant penalty from the McClean break, maybe even a yellow. Owens didn't pick up on it.

International rugby has it this way. Whenever the Saffers are in Dublin we change to white. Scotland will wear white when France come to Murrayfield.

Well at international level they do. Remember when Ireland played SA in the first game in new lansdowne ? There was an agreement before hand that ireland could wear green instead of white.

I'm expecting Italy to run out of puff about now. Loads of French tries expected to gloss over the score-line.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 45,433 ✭✭✭✭thomond2006

Class from Trinh-Duc, finished by Ireland's favourite non Irish winger! :p

Parisse has been excellent today (as usual)

    Picamoles or Parisse for me.

Picamoles will be my pick for being on the winning side. No other French player including Rougerie has stood out for more than short periods imo.

France getting a very solid hit out - they will be nicely grooved next week.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 45,433 ✭✭✭✭thomond2006

Malzieu MOTM, what a great return to international rugby for him.

Fofana has had a good debut too. I can't see too many changes bar Poux at prop for next week.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,225 ✭✭✭mar-z

Malzieu motm, wouldn't have been my choice but good finish for his try

Hope Malz has a great game. He's one of my fav French wingers. Complete underrated IMO.

Chuffed he got MoTM even though I would've thought rougerie should've got it.

Do you think Parisee would consider lining out for Galway? He'd be a great full forward! :pac:

I think Woody summed it up well, France good not brilliant but fantastic in defence.

Italy gave up some very soft scores but looking towards their home games against England and Scotland they've plenty to be confident about.

They did some pretty good things and it'll be interesting to see the possession and territory stats for this game. They are lacking big time in some areas but upfront they're strong.

This interview from kidney is infuriating.

"If the player is good enough he will come through."

    Bull. Shít.

Christ that was one boring game. And now we can look forward to the fantastic skill play of Scot England.
