Hi All, How long do I have to be in the credit union before I can get a loan? I opened the account about 3-4 weeks ago to help me along with saving for a new car. Naturally I am feeling that the saving is not going quick enough. I am saving €300 a week and will be looking for €6000 over a period of a year to two years. Gary

im nearly sure its the amount of money you have in shares
rather than the amount of time you have been with them.

edit.In my local credit union you need to be a member for 6 months before you can get a flexible loan.
but i know of others where that doesnt apply..have a look at your branchs website..should clear it up.
