Making the Best Hip-Hop Playlist of All Time

Basically creating a new hip-hop playlist on my iPod consisting of the greatest hip-hop songs of all time, and knowing that I would need a lot of help since most of the hip-hop I've listened to is from only the last 10 or so years, I have decided to ask ye guys. So what makes the cut, in your opinion? Looking for genuine classics, must-haves etc.

I've been doing something similar recently, I've been getting mp3's of singles from the 90's that were essentially 1 hit wonders, without really having a hit. During the 90's there were so many people pressing up a single on wax and then never to be heard of again. Some excellent songs came from this.
I'm also finding out lots of trivia from this adventure i'm on. For instance, there was a group called Derelict Camp that released 2 12 inches, one of which was Movin In, Movin Out which is an absolute classic song. Then they disappeared of the radar completely. I found out that one of the guys went on to be 50 Cents hype man before the fame and was an original member of G-Unit.

I'm at work and can't see the videos so sorry if it's already been mentioned-- there's a bit of wu tang member stuff up there, EXCEPT for the GZAs Liquid Swords which is one of the great albums, rap or otherwise.

Also might want to add a few Das Efx songs to the mix. They had an original style.

Nuthin But a G Thang is mentioned above and Dre and Snoop's two records The Chronic and Doggystyle should be represented in your mix.
