Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I'd have to give it to Mairéad Ní Chuaig... and she'd get my vote too!

    Gemma Hayes or Lisa Hannigan.

    They're both good looking,intelligent and talented,not a vacous,fame hungry,glorified page 3 'model' like that Salpa lady.

I have no idea who either are but presumably they're both your standard issue indie/hipster/right-on chick that the average anaemic indie kid can moon over and describe as "intelligent" and "principled" even though they never met them.

Georgia has great diddies, even if she does'nt read hot press :P

Strangely enough, I wouldn't say any celebrities. When Irish women become celebrities, they tend to ruin their good looks with fake tan and wash away their hair colour with Hydrogen peroxide. An exception, I suppose, is Aoibhinn Ní Shúilleabháin.

You see some really cracking Irish women just walking down the main street in any town or city. Irish women who take care of their looks tend to have quite beautiful, immaculate skin (a product of our mild weather) and very soft, attractive features.

The most beautiful Irish girls I know are two neighbours of mine; they have very striking dark hair, skin that is olive and clear, and they don't dye their hair or speak with the mid Atlantic twang that you sometimes come across, but with their own, beautiful, rural Tipperary accents. They are the ultimate cailíní, and so natural, and that's the kind of Irish girl I think must have inspired Kavanagh, and Austin Clarke, and Yeats when he wrote of The Countess Kathleen "...that great white lily of the world, more beautiful than the pale stars". I think a lot of Irish women don't realise the extent of their own natural beauty, and think they can enlarge their attractive qualities by impersonating crude, orange glowing, LA porn stars, which I think is a bit unfortunate.

    Comely maidens at crossroads FTW

Thank you sir, I could thank this countless times. This breed of cailín however almost appears to be dying out, I wish the type you have described was more common than it would appear to be.

    Beautifully written btw
I didn't want to write something similar to yours for fear of childishly being called gay:)

Very secsual indeed. Also the fact that she shied away from magazine photo shoots and interviews makes her oh so mysterious.

    Feel free to disagree, but as far as I'm concerned;

Ireland's most attractive woman - Laura Whitmore.

Ireland's most attractive man - Tommy Bowe.

Katie Van Buren (yer one who presents some Childrens' show). She was at my college and I met her in real life. I will not agree with the hotness of a celebrity until I've seen her close to me.

I googled her, jasus, I'd imagine this is what child porn is like

I have no idea what she looks lke but if she looks half as good as she sounds she should be a super model.

I was practically castigated the last time I suggested that. The woman is quite clearly a MILF. She seems to have a pretty good body, everything seems to be in the right place. You could certainly do a lot worse.

Can Daniel Day Lewis be considered Irish? Cos he's still sexy as f*ck. I'd ride him till me nose bleeds.

Other than that, it's gotta be Michael Fassbender obviously.

He could certainly play the part. :pac:

Only problem is that he is such a good actor how would you know if he was really into you ?

Then again would you care ?

I find Irish people with dark hair/eyes attractive so Colin Farrell and Andrea Corr.

Michael Fassbender is a bit plain to me and he talks through his teeth which is irritating.

So you'd destroy someone (I suspect you mean someTHING) you find attractive.
Yes I know it's just a phrase, but we aren't American, and if you're so stupid that you can't think of some better way of complimenting a girl than parroting the saddest line to make it across the Atlantic, then you deserve the life of sad virginity that awaits you.

Woah that's a little harsh, it's only a turn of phrase..no need to wish a life of virginity on him for it.

    My faves are:
    -Bressie
    -Tommy Bowe

It'll probably happen anyway tbh :D

That particular one really annoys me, I find it insulting as a man, not to mind if I were a woman.

    Plus. It's really lame ;)

I think the actress Sarah Bolger is attractive because she is down to earth and has a great personality and I remember Sheana from the afternoon show she has a great personality too. It is hard to find many Irish women with great personalities. It is actually hard to find many Irish men who behave like as opposed to spoilt little boys. Its seems from what I can see is that many Irish man like hard, tough nut women and they expect women to do everything for them, they are essentially attracted to a woman in a man's body. They don't like feminine women who have intelligence and respect for themselves.

It's got to be a three-way tie between Roisin Shortall and Eamonn Dunphy with Brendan O Connor taking up the slack.

    Only joking :D

If I was deaf and couldn't read lips it would be Georgia Salpha.

For natural beauty it has to be Gemma Hayes and/or Lisa Hannigan
