Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Looking at getting a 86 Golf MK2 and wondering the age requirement for a classic for insurance, tax and nct? Also is there a minimum age to get classic insurance?

    Thanks

Classic insurance can vary - but over 20 years for sure.
Motor Tax.. needs to be over 30 years old to get Vintage Motor Tax.
NCT will be required every year.

Insurance might be an issue if this is your only car - that said a young fella down the road from me was driving a 1988 Golf. You need to ring a brokers to find out what's available in your circumstances.
