    Hi all,

How would you guys evaluate the u-value of a retaining wall? Do you measure it as you would ground floor slab or do you put a value in for the earth build-up on the outside of the wall?

    Cheers.

    Thanks Bryan,

One more thing... I want to put in solar thermal collectors as my renewable energy contribution under the Feul Data tab of the Energy Requirements section of DEAP. Where do you get the data for Part L Contribution, Delivered Energy, Primary Energy Conversion and C02 emmission factor?

    Thanks

    manual 13.2 p42
The amount of heat and/or electricity to be generated by these systems is defined in Section 1.2 of Building Regulations 2008 and 2011 TGD L

Ah, found it under the technical bulletins. You need an Exel spreadsheet, downloadable from here to work out the energy contribution and the Conversion Factor and Emmission Factors are in the manual under Table 8.

    Thanks for your help Bryan.
