Hello everyone, I'm new to the forum so excuse me if I'm a bit wet behind the ears.
I've been a shooter since the age of 16 and I'm an awful lot older than that now. I've spent most of my shooting life in South Africa (i used to go for three months a year to my family home) and have been lucky enough to own several pistols and rifles of various calibers, from .22lr to 338 lapua.

This may be obvious but unless I ask I won't know. Are reactive targets allowed here or would they be considered similar to say fireworks?

I have mixed my own tanerite/ammonal a lot in the past and I just love a big bang, but I don't want to get arrested, obviously....

    Yes.

    Classed as explosives hence illegal.

    Thanks for the reply.

I wonder how long it will take to get the refusal back!
Worth a try anyway, just to see.:D

    d) Keeping of Explosives for private use and not for sale
Order in Council No 12 provides for a person to apply for a Garda Certificate (C49) that he is a fit person, to keep for private use, up to 10 lbs of an authorised explosive, for any industrial, agricultural, sporting or other special purpose, (as specified on the certificate). The certificate is valid for up to one year from date of issue.
