I will graduate from my course this June, and I intend to go on and do a masters/ post grad course commencing next september.

At the moment my undergrad fees are paid for by Kerry County council, but they have informed me that they will no longer be processing fees/ grant applications.

So my question is to whom do i apply to get my fees paid for next year, and when is the application process open.

    City of Dublin VEC

You should obviously be also aware that Postgrad fee grants may be limited so you might not get fees paid
The postgraduate student grant scheme is being scaled back and there will be no maintenance grants for new entrants starting in 2012/13. However, over 2,000 students on the lowest incomes will continue to have their fees paid and another 4,000 students will receive a contribution towards the cost of their fees of €2,000.

if your going straight from your undergrad to your post grad then your a renewal and not a first time applicant. the new arrangement with the vec in dublin is for first time applicants. if your renewing you stay with your existing awarding authority...........

I don't think that is correct. I know you're not treated as a first time applicant but I don't think that someone going from undergrad to postgrad is treated as a renewal. I think they are treated as a student reentering which means they have to start the full grant process all over again.

    Yes

The postgraduate option of the BTEA scheme is only for people who wish to take:

a postgraduate course of study that leads to any Higher Diploma (H. Dip.) qualification in any discipline, or
a postgraduate Diploma in Education (Primary or Secondary teaching).
Other postgraduate qualifications including a Master's degree are not recognised for BTEA purposes.

You will not get the BTEA if you already hold a postgraduate qualification.

it is correct, assuming your not taking a break.

if your coming back to studies a person will be applying to the new central grants authority

    It's NOT correct

What if I’m already in receipt of a grant?

Students who are currently in receipt of a student grant and who are progressing to the next year of the same course will continue to be assessed and paid by the existing awarding authorities - i.e. the relevant local authority or Vocational Educational Committee. If you are changing your course or progressing to a new course you will need to apply to SUSI.
