I will be one of the many leaving here asap, and all I'm doing now is pointing a sign for anyone else thinking about signing up for UPC. Or any of the others, for that matter.
you do realise that this mysterious 'wifi' you are talking about only exists in and around your house? it's a local wireless connection from your PC to your router and local interference stopping it from working to its full potential is nothing to do with UPC despite what you seem to think, which you have already been told many times by may different people but refuse to listen.

if you are going to be 'one of the many people leaving here asap', you better mean moving house because unless you are willing to troubleshoot your wireless issues as you have already been repeatedly advised, that is the only thing that is going to make any difference to you, regardless of your ISP.

Think of it this way, it's like installing gas central heating then complaining to the gas company because your house is cold.
However, without fixing the lack of insulation, gaps in the windows causing a cold breeze to blow through the house and leaving all the external doors swinging wide open, what can the gas company do??

Adjust your router to a less congested channel, or use wired connections to speed/QoS sensitive equipment like VoIP phones, pcs doing online gaming etc

wifi isn't always perfect and it can be extremely cluttered with other users and other signals.

As for your comments about "wifi in ireland" actually, the reverse is true. Because we generally live in low density housing, most people experience very few wifi problems. In countries with higher density housing and in major urban areas you will tend to see extremely cluttered wifi spectrum!
