Undercoat instead of primer for skirting board?

I made a bit of an oopsie today.:o I opened up the wrong tin by accident (too busy listening to the radio and singing away to myself) and rollered on undercoat,instead of primer onto 2 long lengths of new red deal skirting board. I only copped that I had used the undercoat,when I was putting the lid back on the…

I only copped that I had used the undercoat,when I was putting the lid back on the tin,Doh.:o:D

Can I still paint my eggshell on,when the undercoat has dried in?

And will the undercoat be ok on the new skirting boards??
