What are my options? New to this :)
Ideally I'd like to stick to the existing red brick theme.
Looking to get a porch as our hall tends to be cold most of the time even with the heating on (There is a rad in the hall)
Felt around the front door and there doesn't seem to be any draughts but the house faces North so doesn't see much sun at all.

    you will need planning permission

you can build a porch exempt from PP as long as:

    1. Any such structure shall be situated not less than 2 metres from any road.
    2. The floor area of any such structure shall not exceed 2 square metres.
    3. The height of any such structure shall not exceed, in the case of a structure with a tiled or slated pitched roof, 4 metres or, in any other case, 3 metres.

Fingers / Syd - apologies - you are correct - no planning required

And just to add to sydthebeat's post......providng it does not contravene a condition of a planning permission
