mcafee not responding

something wrong with mcafee. wont open. when i try to open some web pages i get a message saying a problem with this webpage caused internet explore to close and reopen. could i have a virus ?

Firstly, read the 'I think I have a virus' sticky and the 'Read before you post' sticky as you'll get some good info there.

Then, check your programs/system are up-to-date via Windows Update and FileHippo.
