Chipping a BMW X5

    I was thinking of chipping (superchips) my X5 sd and I would welcome any advise/ recommendations. I have just under 2 years left on a BMW warranty and was wondering if this would be affected. Would the remapping be picked up on diagnostics at the next dealer service? Can chipping lead to long term engine damage?
