hope there's a few more toilets than just 1 lot in the main area, could have used some last year up where the comedy tent was.

Looking forward to INDIEPENDENCE Music & Arts Festival. We'll be taking to the Red Bull/Breaking Tunes stage at 11:15pm on Saturday night. A stage so nice they named it twice.

Just wondering if anyone can help me...
There's a group of us going 3 days and camping. Most of us can't get off work or can't finish early so probably won't get to site until 7 or 8. Will there still be much space in campsite? We'd like to pitch together, 4 tents. Don't mind whether it's campsite A or B.

Has anyone ever volunteered at Indiependence before?

Applied and got an e-mail saying I've got a spot, just wondering what kind of work is involved? They say you get time off to watch some of the music...so if I can work it around Feeder, The Coronas and The Frank and Walters in particular I'll be happy :P

don't know about Indiependence volunteering, but i'd imagine it's just checking tickets, checking wristbands, searching bags for glass bottles, directing the traffic coming on to the site, etc.

Have never volunteered for Indiependence, but various other ones, Im doing Liss Ard festival in Co Cork the following weekend. Its like any festival and like ghostdancer says, info stewards, car park steward, directing festival production traffic, guarding production areas or areas restricted from regular festival punters and wristband checking. Youll enjoy it, its a fun way to work for your festival ticket. If your shifts clashes with the bands you want to see you can always change over with other volunteers who want to see something else.

Think there'll only be a few hours of comedy over the weekend in the silent tent.

If you volunteer for us you fo 16 hours work over two shifts on the weekend. some shifts run from early til 6-7pm, some from 6-7pm until late but we generally try to allow volunteers one early and one late slot.

As others have mentioned, the duties involved include those outlined above amongst others.

I dont think so, they announced a few days ago on facebook that 70% of tickets were sold so I doubt they will sell out this weekend, maybe they will next week though, who knows!
