hi, i was thinking about heading over to CC to work, im a bricklayer, could anyone advise to the stage the rebuilding process is at? any info is welcome regarding accomodation and so forth

An informal answer is that they're not doing a lot of rebuilding yet... they're fixing roads, pipes, damaged but salvagable buildings and still demolishing others. Getting closer to starting the actual building bit of the rebuild, assuming the authorities who be don't implode in the meantime...
