Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I let a cat in

I was never a cat person. I just think they are always plotting against you. My girlfriend is however.

Against my better judgment I let her start bringing a neighbours cat in and giving it a bit of food. He started racing in everytime I opened the door. I didnt mind the kids loved him . One night he made it up to one of the kids rooms. When it came to putting him out he went bananas and attcked the missus, scraping her chest and hand.

He is now banned from the house , but sits out the back garden eyeballing me whenever I have a smoke at the back door.

Should I get an air rifle or just ignore him . Im in two minds .
I just feel so let down that he decided to go down the route of violence . I thought I raised him better than this.

Your girlfriend is a cat person?

Does she land on her feet if she falls from a height?

    And so it begins.

May God have mercy on your soul, OP, for when cats strike humanity will fall.

    Miaow miaow miaow!!!

You're so lucky he wants to come in. You did not raise him, you're his chosen slave, he can behave how he wants.

He most likely only scratched her because he panicked.

But if you want rid just throw a glass of water on him when he comes near.

If the cat goes bonkers when you pick it up donr let it near chilren. Easy to underestimate the damage they can do. They are small panters.

No point shooting the cat, the feckers have 9 lives and will only come back more pissed off each time.

I say befriend him, earn his trust, however difficult that may be, and when he's least suspecting it (but he's a cat so he's always suspecting) lock him in a boiler and see how that goes.

If he dies good, if not, ring papers and run. Or worship him.

more evils than most Its just.. they cant speak to you about it n set you straight

my gf started feeding a cat that always came to our back door.

turns out owner had died so it was technically a stray.

i'm highly allergic to cats so it can't come into the house so it just sits on the windowsill looking in all day.

so 2 years now we (cause i have to feed it when she is away :() have been caring for it and still i have an uneasy feeling, twice in the last month its nearly tripped me on the steps when i'm getting coal, its jumped at me from the window and scared the **** outta me by creeping into the house (once with another cat) and hiding for a few hours before jumping at me when i'm going to bed.

I am convinced that it knows i'm allergic and that when it eventually kills me it'll act like a support for my girlfriend and she'll let the ****er into the house where it'll sit in front of the fire.

Its only a matter of time
