Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

"A magistrate has praised the actions of a man who stole a wallet and two mobile phones, then turned himself in to police when he found images of what he thought was child pornography on one of the phones, a court has heard.

The man appeared in Ballarat Magistrates Court yesterday, where a suppression order was issued preventing his name from being published.

Upon learning the man's actions had led to child pornography charges being laid against a 46-year-old man, magistrate Michelle Hodgson said he needed to be congratulated".

As they say in Australia, "Good on him" he could have easily wiped his prints off the phone and posted it directly to the cops. The judge should have given him a suspended sentence rather than him doing time. Maybe he will turn over a new leaf.

By that logic, I could steal someones phone, put kiddie porn on it, then turn it in for a pat on the back while they get arrested....jail them both.

Only in Australia, where any sport event not resulting in violence results in a refund.

It wouldn't take much for cops to trace digital finger prints to websites etc that your man would have had on his phone also photos taken on smartphones are usually digitally date stamped.

The cops would have also raided your mans house and removed laptops, pc's etc.

Wasn't there another story similar to this a while back. Thieves stole a laptop or something and turned themselves in after find child porn on it.
Good to see thieves still have some morals :pac:

There was a case in Germany where four car thieves found a dead baby in the boot of a car and turned themselves in over it.

its like in the book marching powder.

Really tough horrible prisoners in for everything you can think of really but the place was curropt and had prisoners bring in the families, kids and wives etc.

Guy who wrote the book asked were they not afraid of something happening the kids or women and was told no they never worry.

Few months later 4 rapists are sent there and they were dead within hours.

There are some things in this world that even the sick are sickened by.
