Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Have a bit of money saved up and want to invest it into some cattle...Just wondering what would ye buy...Im only starting off (19 years old). They will be staying on the uncles farm

    calves and feed them with the bucket . You will get more bang for your buck.
    Its nice to watch them grow and develop.

    I did that last year, first time at it and was a great experience.
    they are nice heifers now, give them a good run on grass now and they'll be well ready for the bull in dec/jan again :D

    Get out to some marts...
    Have a look at prices of different animals...
    See what you like the look of...

    Rearing calves is nice but calf prices would want to drop a bit more before they could be reared and leave a few bob at the end... Maybe to keep as breeding stock..

    I know its a bit off track but im thinking of becoming a farmer but the problem is I have no land. Any ideas because I have experience with dairy and beef :D
